This is my second wheel plate this year. It is about 1 inch tall and four inches wide. I wanted some design in it so I decided to dip it halfway in one color and halfway in the other. This was my second plate I've made, so it still was hard but I feel as if it's an improvement from my second plate. I learned more so the idea of shaping it so it was an actual plate. The main art element I focused on was for sure shape and contrasting the colors. I wanted it to look a little different than a typical bowl and I wanted to do something a little different with the colors so they both made each other stand out.

This is my first wheel plate of the school year I have made. It is about half an inche tall and 6 inches wide. I wanted some design in it so I decided to dip it in two colors halfway and splatter some other colors to contrast it. I had never made a plate before so this was difficult to figure out . It was hard but I really feel like my skills showed through. I learned more so the idea of contrasting lines and color to make it pop. The main art element I focused on was for sure contrast.
This is my fthird wheel bowl of the school year I have made. It is about two inches tall and four inches wide. I wanted it to be simple so I really focused on the shape. I wanted it to be idly shaped but still cute and quirky. It was hard but it turned out to be exactly what I wanted. The main art element I focused on was for sure shape. I knew I wanted an oddly shaped bowl for this one.
This is my second wheel bowl of the school year I made. It is about three inches tall and four inches wide. I wanted some design in it so I decided to add some other glazes layered on one another. I feel like I really improved from my last bowl project. It was still hard but I really feel like my skills improved and it really showed. The main art element I focused on was for sure color and contrast. My project is a little edgy and it was a risk since I've never done a glaze project like this before.
This is my first wheel bowl of the school year I made. It is about three inches tall and four inches wide. I wanted some design in it so I decided to add some carved lines which was done just by spinning the wheel and dragging a pencil tool along it. Then to contrast the lines I splattered a teal green glaze over a white glaze to really set it off. It had been awhile since I had been on the wheel so I had to remember how to center and pull up the project without ruining it. It was hard but I really feel like my skills showed through. I learned more so the idea of contrasting lines and color to make it pop. The main art element I focused on was for sure shape. I knew I wanted a normal shaped bowl for my first one and that is exactly what I got:) My project is wild and all over the place, it shows different sides of art. Wild and crazy that I really wanted to bring out in this first project. It gives a free spirit vibe I believe. Where you can just be yourself. Because it's art, and there is no guidelines.
