These are my theme projects. I wanted them to go from "very mixed clay" to less and less. I loved the way these three projects turned out. I had alot of fun making these and just ended up using clear glaze on these to keep the mixed clay colors. While making these I really bettered my patience skill. One of these projects was stuck in the fire and it was terrifying to think it may have been ruined but it came out nearly perfect!

This is one of my choice projects. I used yellow sea mix to try out a new type of clay. The project is about 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide. I did half of it in black in order to really make it standout and use contrast. The black glaze turned out almost blue which I really ended up loving.
This is my . I used two different types of clay's wedged together to create a marbled effect. This is a fairly large bowl at around 10 inches by 10 inches. I learned skills such as rounding out the bowl to create a more clean shape. I loved the way the clay's contrasted one another and made the bowl standout as a whole. I focused on shape for sure and again, the contrasting of the clay's really makes the project as a whole standout.
This is my large wheel bowl project. I used two different types of clay's wedged together to create a marbled effect. This is a fairly large bowl at around 10 inches by 10 inches. This is the first set of three bowls I have ever made. They are all fit in one another and vary in sizes. I love the way they are different sizes and although the glazes are similar it did not turn out exactly the same. I used the blue and black glaze to really emphasize the project, I thought the colors really contrasted with the fact that they are heart bowls, almost saying that not all hearts are happy. The colors represent a sadder side to the human heart. I had to improve on making the three actually match so you could tell it was a set of three.
This is the second "tall project" I have ever made as a project. It is about ten inches tall and seven inches wide. Lately I have been going for a more simple look, specifying in contrast. During this I learned how to pull up the wall taller, shape it more the way I wanted it to be, and better attach multiple projects together. The main art element I focused on was for sure shape and contrast. I love the way the red clay and seamix make the project really stand out.
